Please bear i mind i am useless with words!! Thank you!!

With all business owners thinking “how can i get the best exposure with minimal cost” www.yourlocaltrades.co.uk has broken the back of this question.

Not only are their customers being found through search engines, they are receiving free leads throughout their membership, gaining back monthly membership fees.
The consumer also applies free online for a quotation from any business, whether it be a professional, qualified trader or a day to day business owner running a bridal shop or even an accountant.
This service offered by yourlocaltrades has also been mentioned by a very popular subscription only magazine.
The way forward for yourlocaltrades is simple, as this is a great service at minimal cost, reaching everyone throughout Great Britain. Keep it simple, keep it cost effective and above all, offer true professionals to the consumer.
With members joining with regularity, and never once paying for advertising, yourlocaltrades itself has built great exposure and visibility. The success of yourlocaltrades is of course passing down to its members. Only last week a stat counter was placed on all member listings, allowing them to see if their visibility through yourlocaltrades was true, already, not one but numerous members have been seen over thirty times in seven days.
Yourlocaltrades is really moving forward, and fast, allowing for more upgrades on the website to allow each member to really show case their business.

Hi Steve,

Not bad for someone who says he's useless with words, but it needs to be punchier to make more of an impact, with shorter sentences and some general 'oomph' and polishing. Let me know if I can help, drop me a PM or call me on the number below - as a copywriter and someone who's just spent the last week writing a fair few press releases for one of my clients, I'd be more than glad to assist!

Good effort Steve, however for the low cost of a couple of hours time, get an expert. Calire has offered, and Stef Thomas is an expert in this area too. Give them both a call.

It's well written Steve but not right for a press release-they have a style all of their own!! I would also recommend Stef Thomas of Real Marketing.

Hi Steve.  Good for you for giving it a go!  Writing press releases can be tricky if you haven't been trained.  Sadly lot of press releases end up in the bin because they aren't written in an acceptable style and format.  I agree with Claire, your press release needs to be punchier and a little more polished.  There are books available and lots of information on the web to help you write your own press releases but it's still a tricky business.  If I can help in any way, please do get in contact.  I've written hundreds of press releases which have been published in both national and regional press, although of course it's impossible for me to guarantee publication.  That decision remains with the editor I'm afraid.
