Morning All,
i am looking to do something like this...
http://www.businessvehicletracking.co.uk/demo.wmv
Its a Windows Media File of a screen play... rather than just screen shots.
We provide a similar tracking service and I want people to be able to get an online demo of the software we use.
Anyone know a program that we can use to do this or does it need to be done professionally?
i'd rather do myself if there is a program out there to do it.... otherwise we will pay for the work.
thanks for all your help as always!
Jay

I use a program called River Past Screen Recorder which does that sort of thing. You can record a commentary whilst your doing it as well if you can multitask like that!

The software recommendations above are good Gavin but if it's for posting on your website make sure you edit it rather just capture the screen actions in real time. The example link you posted was excruciating to watch as it was done in real time.
I do video editing myself, but if you want someone local to you try Chris Burke of CJB Media.

Yeap, Julians right they do need a bit of editing.
Windows Movie Maker is fine for that, in fact here are a few vidoes i made a couple of years ago when I was playing with the stuff.

I'll accept they are not videos that many people would find useful ;)

I liked them Chris. But that's because I am an Excel geek.

This is generally called a 'screen cast' - lots of software available to do this with options of added commentry etc.
