CAN YOU HELP? [Terms. I don't suppose...] |

...anyone fancies letting me have a nosey at their terms?
I still haven't done mine and I wanted to have a read of various ones and then pull some together that are relevant to my business.
Oh, and a question. What is the difference between Terms of Business, Terms & Conditions, Terms if Reference etc?
thanks

Have sent ours.
I'm not aware of any difference between Terms of Business & Terms & Conditions - I think they both represent a contract between Supplier and Purchaser.

T of B and T & C are the same thing. Terms of Reference are something completely different and not relevant to what you want!

I hate to spoil the party, and good to see everyone helping, but when I posed a similar question on here eons ago I was told by a wise man never to use online templates and never to DIY your own T&Cs cobbled together from other people's. I was told each business is different and a DIY effort could come back and bite you. Don't shoot me down in flames, only relaying what I was told :-)
Bob Jones of Pinstripe Legal is a T&Cs expert. Can't find him in the members' list, not sure if he is still a member.

Thanks, Julian. Appreciate it...no shooting required on this occasion anyway. Was planning to cobble something together and get it checked legally before use. I am sure someone will say its a false economy...ie my time wasted, etc etc but right now I am being particularly tight about keeping money in the bank. Thanks for the Bob Jones mention tho, I remember the Pinstripe name being recommended here before, so useful for me to have in case of need. Although I do have a very useful and knowledgeable law type person who might just check it in return for a vino or two...which frankly, you can't compete with, eh?!

Sadly our Bob's is no longer with 4N, he's a non-executive director of UK Office Manager

That's a good work round Pash, DIY then get it checked over by a legal eagle.
Let me know how you get on because despite receiving some advice from the aforementioned 'wise man' (I think it was around Chistmas time) I still need to sort mine out!
