Hi I was just browsing the site and looking at the Southampton meeting in my area. I click on the book you place button thinking it would take me through to a form page but instead it said congratulations you are successfully booked. All this would be great except I haven't paid any membership fee for the site and I thought that you needed to do this before going to meetings. I would like to go to the meeting and pay the £10 on the day fee but I'm not ready to commit to the site membership fee, what should I do?

Hi Anthony, welcome!
Go along to Southampton and see what we are about and if you love it (which you will), you can join there!

Anthony, it's cool, you just pay £10 when you turn up for a cracking breakfast. You can get along a few times before you have to think about membership so no worries, and you'll enjoy the Southampton meeting, they got views of boats apparently - http://www.4networking.biz/forum/14/24775.htm

All of the above is not true Anthony.
It's very simple, just send me some cash, and I'll let you attend 3 meetings while you make up your mind!

Lol, thanks Dean, the cheques in the mail.
Thanks for you replies everyone, I'm looking forward to the meeting, I think giving a free trial is a great idea, it's really swayed my vote.

Gotta try before you buy - it's the only way
Though I did have an odd conversation the other way round with a new member yesterday who thought his membership fee included all his breakfasts as well - I wish!

That's nothing, Sarah.
We gave away a free trial membership to someone at our recent Business Fair in Liverpool and they kicked off at the fact that we wanted £10 for breakfast claiming that we had misrepresented the offer!

I would have thought that would be a valid point? surely.

Having seen what the average 4N member puts away in the name of breakfast, I feel this would be economic suicide to make an offer like this.

The venues charge us for the breakfast, naturally. It is membership of the network that was given away free, not free food.
