Hi Denise

I think Trademarks and copyright are two different areas.  We've trademarked our name and logo - it's quite a long process and you have to pay - go to www.ipo.gov.uk and you can find most of what you need on both subjects there.

As Dave said - go on to the Intellectual Property Office web-site, it is good and explains the process well. I phoned the IPO Office a couple of times with questions and found the staff who work there, considering they are a governmental organisation very helpful.

The worst part of the process is the 2 month wait whilst potential objections can be raised. But the process is worth it and it is great to own your own trade mark/brand.
