Purchased a WII for my son for Christmas on ebay which was shipped from Germany. Have unboxed and it only has a European power cable. Have been in touch with supplier who has offered to send a UK power cable. Is this all I need to make it UK voltage compatible or will I have problems going down this route?

Rog,
All you needed was a converter from 2 to 3 pin plug.
The Wii itself is the same model throughout Europe, the only difference is the plug.

£250 plus £25 P & P. Was told a story about someone using a euro version via an adapter who had their system burn out because of the different voltage. Thanks.

Nah, thats not right Roge, I buy loads of electrical items in Germany and have no problems in the UK, only the plugs are an issue.
£250 is not bad, they are £180 in the shops over here
