About Manuel Serrano

After spending my formative years in Spain and Ecuador and doing my first degree in the USA, I landed back in Spain. The best was still to come: meeting a lovely English rose made me leave all and came to live in the UK in 1992.

Since then, I made my home in Blighty, the lovely English rose is now my wife and mother of our three children, and my perambulation in the working world has included stints in tutoring, charity administration, customer services, export and publishing. No surprise, then, that finding my niche as an English-Spanish translator was very welcome on several counts:

a) work from home (yes, it is possible!) which allows me to see my children grow up

b) puts to use my varied experience of living, studing and working in four countries.

c) provides a focus on making meaningful personal contacts across language and culture in Cambridge and its surroundings.

My hobbies include reading (in both of my languages), meeting folk with an international outlook (no surprise), writing the occasional short story (mainly for my kids).
