I am a creative with a can do attitude. I enjoy brainstorming and lateral thinking; looking for the ideas and sales directions overlooked by others. My workshops are always contagious and infectious, in helping businesses think about new ways of promoting themselves, in progressing sales opportunities and building their brand in particular market.
My consultancy services offer support on a day rate or occasional support once a month. I can help create marketing strategies for business plans, and help you develop marketing plans into actions which are achievable within the time and money available.
I became a freelance consultant in September 2005, after 5 years working with National Land Information Service (NLIS); a portal to deliver government conveyancing search products to one-stop-shops over the Internet [ www.nlis.org.uk ]. My experience with NLIS included producing and advising on all NLIS marketing strategies, plans, branding and activities.
I joined the Improvement & Development Agency for local government (IDeA), working for their subsidiary company Local Government Information House (LGIH) in August 2000. LGIH originally managed and developed NLIS. My work started just after the NLIS Hub contract had been awarded and announced, progressing local authority participation in NLIS through events, presentations and marketing, developing the NLIS brand and marketing the online service to the legal profession.
I have worked in various local authority departments. My rôles have included corporate geographical information systems manager and corporate graphics manager. I have eleven years local government experience with three different authorities — Lewes District Council, Chester City Council and London Borough of Hounslow.
If you are looking for a marketing professional who is affordable and flexible, I may be just the marketing support you’re looking for.
