Hi! My name is Erika and I would like to be your Virtual Personal Assistant. Who am I, and why do I believe I would be a good choice in this matter? Well, let me tell you a little about myself.
Born in Nottinghamshire, into a mining family, my first employment was with British Coal (then National Coal Board) 17 years starting as trainee PA , taking advantage of every course going from shorthand (which I still use) to time administration and management courses. My final role was that of Administration Manager at a colliery in its finite life, assisting redundant mineworkers to either transfer to other collieries or start up their own businesses.
Whilst working as PA to a CEO and entrepreneur I was head hunted to set up a Japanese Company (subsidiary of Honshu Paper) in the Midlands who were working with Volvo in an attempt to make the totally recyclable vehicle.
On completing this task, I left Nottinghamshire and moved to Somerset where I met my husband Martin, who is incredibly supportive in everything I do. We live on the family farm and both enjoy taking part in field sports. I love looking after and riding my horses and training my 5 Labrador gundogs for field work and competition, which I am quite passionate about.
In the last 12 years, I have enjoyed roles such as Executive PA to CEO of an International Blue Chip Company; I then moved on to take the role of Office Manager and Facilities Manager in a Communications Company managing 3 offices travelling regularly between London, Oxford and Corsley Heath.
My strengths are:
-
PA / Administrative / Organising / Executive Assistant at CEO level
-
Office Management / Facilities Management / Project Management / Event Planning
-
HR and Finance
-
Multiple diary management
-
Research
-
Preparation of Presentation material
-
Jack of all Trades
Needless to say I do have a weakness – Boredom!
If you were to ask me what qualities make me stand out from the crowd, my response would be:
-
Dedication and commitment
-
The willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
-
Punctuality
-
Not afraid to admit mistakes
-
Honesty and integrity
My belief is there is no such thing as a problem only challenge and my mission is to deliver the task right; first time, on time, every time.
