I believe that even the biggest IT systems don’t need to be complicated.
Computers exist to help businesses grow. You don’t want to waste time messing around with them trying to get them to work. When things go wrong, and even the best ones do, I also believe you should have someone to hand you can depend on to fix them.
My name is Ed Kenworthy. I have extensive experience in managing large, industrial-grade IT projects and systems in local government and the education sector. I have Prince 2 project management qualifications sought after by large industrial and commercial clients. I also love working with small but growing companies that know where they are going but aren’t quite sure how to get there.
I help clients in 3 ways:
We live in an increasingly connected world of communications. We’ve moved from the telescope to the telegraph and then from the telephone to the big world of cloud computing. I can help you move from local and server-based solutions to more streamlined, interconnected cloud systems that will dominate the world of work in the years to come. I also help you ensure that your existing systems work to the best of their capabilities.
Alphatec - simple systems that make the best business sense./p>
I started working in the IT sector around 20 years ago now working for a large local authority initially before moving on to become the IT manager for a government commisioned learning centre in Lancashire - the largest in the UK at the time.
In 2006 I decided in was time to try working for myself and set up my IT business. I worked as a sole trader initially before setting up a limited company in 2009.
Outside of work I am a big family man with most of my free time spent with my wife and 2 kids. I have a love of music, in particular electronic music, films and of course computers which started in the 1980s.
I am Lancashire born and bred but recently left the familar town and people I have know behind for pastures new in North Somerset. My wife was born in Bath and we spent so much time travelling down to the south west it just seemed to make sense to move here.
I am looking forward to the challenge of building my business up again from Weston-super-Mare.
Ed has helped us successfully transfer to Office365 and been on the end of a skype call at all times to answer the inevitable stupid questions. Made the process painless for us - highly recommended. Thanks Ed
Ed recently helped me get my new website up and running. He took control of all aspects of arranging the transfer of domain and linking it with my new site provider. He also ensured my e mail accounts and calendar worked. He made sure I had the least amount of downtime and was very patient.
Ed has done a fantastic job with my I.T systems network. The advice given was sound and he went out of his way to make sure it all ran smoothly ready for our new practice management system. I would recommend his services.
