What I Offer…

What allows a rockstar to fill a stadium with their charisma and stage presence?

Where do the more creative people on the planet get their flow of fresh ideas from?

How do masters of a craft, leaders in their field, maintain the edge on the competition and stick religiously to their practice/training regime?

How do innovators and visionaries stand firm when the rest of the world doubts their next big idea?

How do the finest leaders orchestrate a mighty team that sings in harmony and pulls in the same direction?

How do the megastars who really shine deal with their inner critic?

These may only seem like quesions for musicians, but they are crucial for all people who want to really thrive. I became fascinated with high performance as a music student and as a results have been fortunate to work with performers and creatives at all levels of the music industry, as well as teaching the skills of high performance to non-musicians. As well as being a gigging saxophonist and session musician, I also coach people on a variety of topics - achieving mastery, conquering stage fright, unlocking their natural stage presence, dealing with criticism, using time effectively, boosting creativity, innovation, leading fearlessly and many others.

Since moving away from my early NLP training with Paul McKenna's mentor Dr Richard Bandler, I'm a certified Clarity Coach trained by Jamie Smart and am also currently mentor on his Clarity Coach training programme. In addition to ongoing mentoring from Jamie, I've also been coached by some of the world's top performance coaches including Garret Kramer, Dicken Bettinger, George Pransky, and Jan Chipman. As a coach I've worked with musicians as diverse as members of the London Philharmonic Orchestra, students at Trinity College of Music, a professor at the Royal Academy, one of Vanessa Mae's tour musicians, as well as Mercury Prize nominees and other competition winners.

I'm incredibly excited about my forthcoming book 'Just Play: The Simple Truth Behind Musical Excellence' that is due for its Amazon release in early June 2018. Not only is this backed by Grammy Award winners Dame Evelyn Glennie, Jacob Collier and Bill Laurance (Snarky Puppy), but also a whole host of respected professionals from the world of music and performance psychology. I'm also working with the Musicians Union and Help Musicians UK to help raise money for HMUK's Music Minds Matter campaign: https://www.musicmindsmatter.org.uk/ 10% of the book sales will be donated.

Rather than just reading my little description, I'd much rather have an informal chat with you - to learn more about what you're up to and see if there's something we could do together. That's what networking's all about isn't it? Give me a bell on 07843663987 and let's see where the conversation takes us.
