What I Offer…

CDP Dance was created in 2017 with a single mission: to inspire and nurture the next generation of dancers in a fun and inclusive way. As the founder of CDP Dance, I aim to inspire the next generation the same way I was. I have had a passion for dance from a young age, I can usually be found dancing down the isle of the local supermarket! You may be wondering what CDP stands for - Create Dance Perform. Upon completing a BTEC Extended Diploma in Performing Arts, at college, specialising in Dance and Musical Theatre, I then went on to complete a degree at Bath Spa University where I graduated in July 2015 with BA Hons in Dance. During my 2nd year of University I received 1 of 6 International places to dance in Namibia in August 2014 as an intern with their first professional dance company, Ombetja Yehinga Organisation (OYO). I enjoyed the internship so much that my dissertation was based upon it and I returned in July 2015 for a further 5 weeks. Alongside my degree I worked as a Youth Apprentice with Bath&North East Somerset YOUTH DANCE COMPANY (BYDC). In addition to this I have qualified as a Level 2 Somatic Movement Educator/Therapist.

Why I’m good at what I do…

I am owner of CDP Dance, based in Worcestershire. We are the only dance school in the area to not offer exams, all of our classes are about having fun. Through our classes we inspire the next generation and help develop their confidence, motor skills and communication skills. CDP Dance also offers school clubs to local primary schools and Chair Based Dance Exercise in care homes.
