Hi, I’m James Perryman, founder of Momentus.
I work with business owners, leaders, managers and teams to grow their capability, overcome the challenges that hold them back and create the self-awareness they need to remain balanced.
I refer to these as moments. What might these moments look like for you?
Let’s start with the moment everyone would love to have. You’ve got a vision of what you want to be and what you want to achieve in the future. To get there you ideally need to design some form of a path, plan or journey to get there. And when you do get there, imagine how absolutely amazing it will feel to stop, take everything in, and be mindfully present for that one small moment to bask in the glory of what you have achieved.
What about the moment you’re dreading? You’ve been shortlisted for an interview, or perhaps you’ve got a big presentation to make or need to deliver an important speech. The dread of being in the spotlight, having everyone in the room watching you causes anxiety and fear about that moment taking place. With some simple and highly effective techniques and tips, you can develop your own strategy to manage that anxiety and fear, so that in that moment when it’s over to you, when all eyes are on you, you are ready to be absolutely brilliant.
And finally, the moment nobody should ever experience. You’re working hard. Like, really hard. You’re sacrificing valuable time that could be spent with your family and friends, or on your health and well-being. You’re lured to your smartphone at every little notification tone. You’re present in body but not in mind. The gym will get a visit ‘next week’. The healthier eating will start ‘next week’. Then, in a single moment, your mind or your body tell you that it’s had enough. It just can’t take any more. It then takes a lot of time to heal, become more self-aware, and then move forward.
These are the moments can make us or break us – how about we be in the moment and let them just make us.

In terms of my personal life, I have two grown up sons that have moved out and are conquering the world of work and university respectively. My partner is a director at O2 and has to travel a lot with her work, so I do get quite a bit of time to myself – which is handy as I captain one of the Widnes rugby union teams, and am Group Leader for 4N Chester lunch, so I don’t really get much spare time (if I did, I would just fill it with something!).
I recently attended a communications workshop that James delivered using the Tetra Map tool. I learned a lot and really enjoyed it! It was full of interaction, useful insights and tips to put into practice straight away. I'd highly recommend James, his style is very professional, clear and engaging.
Today I attended a workshop that James had put on called Nature of Communication. This was a fab workshop, it was engaging, fun, interactive, easy to follow and educational. I learnt so much about myself and also others who I closely work with but more importantly customers. You should book on.
