For over 30 years, St Michael’s Hospice has strived to provide patients and their loved ones with the highest standard of palliative care.
We passionately believe that everyone has the right to die with dignity. To achieve this, we will always show compassion and care for an individual’s body, mind and spirit and support their family, friends and carers.

Why I’m good at what I do…

I was born in Chicago, attended high school at Phillps Academy, MA, BA in English Literature at Bryn Mawr College and MA from Brown University.

I moved to London to marry my British husband, and have worked for Judy Daish Associates in London and the Courtyard Centre for the Arts in Hereford.

I am currently in the Communications and Marketing Team at St Michael's Hospice.

I joined 4N Networking to increase the Hospice's profile with local businesses: this would include advertising, volunteering, sponsorship and choosing us for their Charity of the Year.

I have been trained on InDesign and PhotoShop to produce fantastic public-facing work for all the departments in the Hospice, from flyers, invitations, posters and brochures to our own in-house publication, the Messenger, an informative newsletter which is sent out to over 30,000 homes and businesses twice a year. 

I edit ALL outward-facing materials (I can be fierce about this) and am also responsible for selling the banner ads in the Messenger. 

I am proud to say that I have grown our Twitter followers from 1,300 to over 3,400 in just 14 months, and I manage the Twitter and Facebook accounts for the Hospice.

I like to help out at the fundraising events the Hospice holds regularly, and you can usually find me signing in walkers, runners, bikers and dogs (yes, really) with a cheerful smile and helpful manner.

I mix with a wide swath of professionals from all walks of life, as well as volunteers, trustee members, patients and their families and friends. Never boring!
