About Us

Calypso Imports is the sole UK distributor for the Eaton's brand of Jamaican and West Indian products from King Pepper Ltd. We love Caribbean food, and we want to share our passion for it with you. Our product range allows you to easily recreate the authentic and sensational flavours of the caribbean. Owned by Dean Fosbury and his Jamaican father in law, Richard Kong, Calypso is truly a family business. It all started when Dean first tasted the Eaton's Jamaican Crushed Peppers while on a family holiday. He realised that there were no products in the UK offering such a complete range of mouth watering West Indian flavours. This is when the idea for Calypso was born.

Our Products

At Calypso Imports we promise to develop your taste buds and give you A Taste of the Caribbean. We Import Caribbean food products from Jamaica all of which are manufactured by my wife's family in Jamaica:

Barbeque Sauces - Jamaican Jerk Barbecue; Jamaican Rum Barbecue Sauce. These sauces are rich in flavour and perfect for a BBQ or adding a little Caribbean taste to an oven dish too! Both of thee products are mild and suitable for children and non-spice lovers.

Customer Testimonials:

"Fantastic sauces, fantastic prices... what more can you ask for? Don't delay try today" - Steve, Cardiff

"Just had two slices of cheese on toast with Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce on one, and Papaya Chutney on the other and it was genuinely the most exciting cheese on toast I've ever had" - A lison, Oxfordshire

"Best Ever Ketchup! Will definately be repeating my order" - Kerry, Swindon

Scotch Bonnet Pepper Sauce - A hot condiment that can be used as a splash on the side, or for creating a spicy dip.

Jamaican Crushed Peppers - Not for the feint hearted! All natural; just strong Jamaican chillis to warm you through.

Jerk Tomato Ketchup - The kids are going to love this! Use as you would your ketchup, but it is ketchup with a difference. Make an ordinary hotdog into something extrordinary.

Jamaican Hot Mustard Sauce - A sensational table sauce that gives an extra twist for mustard lovers, combining traditional mustard flavours with the heat of chillis.

West Indian Guava Jam; West Indian Mango Jam - If you love the Caribbean, but can't stand the heat, then these products will bring back memories of your holiday without burning your tongue. Rich in fruit, they can take you back to the beach at breakfast time, by enjoying our jams on toast or muffins.

West Indian Mango Chutney; West Indian Papaya Chutney - Use these as an accompaniment to turn your ploughmans lunch into an exotic island warriors' lunch. They can be used on their own cold, or can turn a chicken or pork dish into a taste sensation, when baked with the meat in the oven.

Why I’m good at what I do…

Born in the summer of 69 in Hampshire, and the son of a milkman (if only he'd been a preacher man!) After failing to make the grade properly as a footballer, I have spent the last 20 years in sales and marketing, the last 15 years of which have been in the plastics industry, selling "colour" to manufacturers of anything plastic. This has been to a variety of industries, including Cosmetics, Food Packaging, Automotive, Aviation and Medical.

I am married to Nicole with 2 wonderful children; Oliver is 6 and Jessica is 5 (written early 2008). Last year we decided to set up a business while I am still enjoying a salary from being in employment. Nicole is Jamaican and we set up Calypso Imports to import Caribbean Sauces, Seasonings, Jams and Chutneys from Jamaica. They are all made at a factory run by part of Nicole's family back in Jamaica.

I am football mad and also love cooking and reading. I read thrillers normally, being a huge fan of Michael Connolly (he needs to write some more) and have a passion for cooking anything, although Caribbean food appears on our menu frequently!

Member Testimonials

  • Fellas, I don't care how big and tough you think you are. Dean's hot pepper sauce is to be used sparingly, its not to be used as a 'i'm hard as nails' test. Joking aside, Dean all round stand up guy, will do anything to help other 4Ners, twin that with a fantastic range of unique imported Jamacian sauces and you are on to a winner. Do use the 4N delivery system to get your hands on some. I reccomend the Jerk Ketchup.
  • As I am the 4N delivery system I can only recommend Dean's range of sauces. I had absolutely no hesitation in recommending my friends at Aston Pottery - I know that they are selling extremely well. Roll on the summer! Jerk Barbecue Seasoning is the new rock and roll!
  • Fab service.... Fab sauces... Fab 4N member Fab mate...(not writing testimonial because of that!) Fab Jerk Sauce, Chutney, Hot Pepper Sauce, Jerk seasoning..all tried and highly recommended! Soon to be tried 'Rum BBQ Sauce' will let you know if that is Fab too! (forgot to mention his lovely 'blue eyes' lols!!!)
