In my heart I am a writer and since I was 11 I have written a daily journal and poetry. I am now writing a book. I am also a lover of the coutryside and walk as many miles a week as I can. My career includes building a manufacturing business from zilch to 27 employees by the age of 27 (and it's still going strong), being a Finance Director across a range of businesses including Commercial Law and establishing and building 2 successful consultancy and training businesses.
I have also had a long involvement with the Chambers of Commerce being a board member for East Lancs Chamber for 7 years and becoming President after only 2, then being nominated for the National British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) board where I served as a Director for 3 years and was additionally their UK Ambassador for Women's Enterprise, representing the BCC in parliament and on the BBC. I've also served on public sector and charity boards.
Currently I work with business owners and leaders as a critical friend. I dig and delve into Why they are doing what they are doing and Whether it is working for them and their employees. I ask difficult questions and may need to mediate between Directors/Family members to really sort stuff out. I believe a business should be one where everyone thrives and the business makes money - whether that be for shareholders or to invest in social aims.
If you'd like to work with someone who straight talks when necessary and can empathise if needed, drop me a line.
Wendy is a hidden gem. I am at the stage where I am expanding my biz and looking at 5 year goals. Wendy is super sharp and helps you see the bigger picture, mentors you on business strategy, financials, and kicks you to hold you accountable on your growth plan. Go see her for exponential growth.
