I import products from Africa that have a story - gifts made in remote communities, often with high unemployment. The makers are trained in new skills, and produce items using local resources - elegant, unique and empowering.
I teach and support small businesses to use social media and create content to reach a wider audience. I have a Facebook for Business course and a Blogging course online, as well as a course to teach walking tour guiding.
I run an annual market in the South West to celebrate southern African businesses, products and our amazing culture. The market usually has about 70 traders and over 3,000 visitors. The Celebrate Southern Africa brand is supported by a weekly online radio show and regular podcast, as well as a cultural blog./h3>/h3>/h3>
I come from a background in teaching, customer service and tourism, and have always loved working directly with people. As a sportswoman at a very high level, I have developed intuition and anticipation, which has helped me 'read' people really well. I was born and raised in African, and have thus seen so many aspects of life, which helped me develop a deep understanding of the human psyche.
I love writing, baking, crochet, gardening and pottering! I have completed a degree in International Relations and Diplomacy because I love politics. I love reading, walking, playing tennis and hope to learn how to play golf in the near future.
