Why I’m good at what I do…

I'm a 57 year old Chartered Management Accountant, qualified in 1979 (ACMA) and became a Fellow (FCMA) in 2008.

I started out in my role of Your Finance Director in April 2012 and I aim to preach my evangelism that small business owners need more regular contact with their Accountancy services provider and more self sufficiency in understanding what information is needed to not only survive but grow in the challenging economic climate we face today. I aim to do this by working with my clients as a Business Partner rather than just an accountant.

I have been happily married to my wife Chris for 29 years and she is scouring the holiday brochures for where we will be celebrating our 30 years this year - I await my instructions!

I have 2 daughters and a son in their 20's & 30's - my daughters won't appreciate my posting their ages I'm sure!

I'm a proud Grampy to Samuel, Logan and Lucas (7, 1 and new born 4th December 2012).

I'm a Bristol City fan but more importantly, a lover of football - period!  I still try and play 5-a-side once or twice a week but the body is beginning to complain!

I enjoy regular weekend breaks at our holiday home in Dorset, coming back refreshed and ready to carry on networking with 4N.
